Japan Geography
Project, Nakama Chapter 5:
Students have already chosen the city or
geographical area that interests them.
Each student will produce a poster (8 ½ by 14 inches). On the poster the students will include 4
color pictures of the area and 16 sentences about the area. Those sentences, in English, will explain
what part of Japan the area is in, its population, its famous products
(agricultural, industrial, food-related), its famous tourist sites, etc. The poster must be neat, attractive, and colorful. Students who think their handwriting is not
clear may type the sentences and paste them on the poster.
Each student will also make an oral
presentation in English about the chosen area, showing the poster and
explaining why the area is important. Be
sure to explain why the area was chosen!
Bibliography---be sure to list your
sources: websites, books, magazine/newspaper articles, etc.
Project will be due on April 18th,
Tuesday.
