英語で　書けます　か。書いたら　どう　です　か。

週末　（に）いしゃ　の　牛先生　は　びょういん　で　かみ　が　短いかんしゃ　（Patients）の　ねつ　が　はかれました。   On the weekend, Doctor Cow Sensei was able to take the temperature (measure the fever) of patients with short hair.

でも　学生　に　い学（Medical knowledge）が　教えられませんでした。However, he/she wasn't able to teach medical knowledge to the students.

春　の　お天気（てんき、Weather）が　暑かった　から　牛先生　の　犬　は　鳥　の　長い　うた　が　聞こえました。Spring weather was hot, so Dr. Cow's dog was able to hear the birds' long songs.

でも　牛先生　の　猫　は　五月　の　花　が　見えませんでした。However, Dr. Cow's can was not able to see the May flowers.

Do you notice anything unusual about the last two sentences?

The final verbs in both the last two sentences are irregular in the potential form.

Not  聞けました     but    聞こえました

Not    見られました    but　見えました

Write all the kanji for Lesson 12, two times each.  Then write again all the kanji that you didn't know, repeating them until you know them.
