Computer Lab Lesson --
Handout: How to arrange the computer so that it will write Japanese
fonts:
- Go to Start and click
- Go to Control Panel
- Go to Clock/Language/Region
- Go to Region and Language
- Go to Languages and Fonts
- Go to Change Keyboards
- Go to Add
- Go to Japanese and click on little icon to the left of the word
- Under Keyboard, click on Microsoft IME
- Click on OK
- When the small EN symbol appears at the lower right of the screen, click on it, and then click on “show the language bar”
- Language bar usually appears at the top of the screen at the right
- Click on Japanese, and then choose “hiragana”
- Now you can start writing in a Microsoft Word document

Animal origami assignment, crab, fox, or dove, pasted to a piece of paper plus writing assignment (self-introduction by the animal him/herself)
