Here’s a link that you might enjoy.  It reviews some well-known and not-so-well-known Japanese vocabulary.  Please ignore the ads, though.  There’s one that is a straight-out piece of political propaganda from the Epoch Times, a news source founded by a group associated with Falun Gong, the Chinese spiritual group outlawed by the Chinese government.

ソーシャルディスタンス or 社会的距離確保

During social distancing, we are in our homes a lot, so let’s go on a 宝探し（たからさがし） “treasure hunt,” to look for objects and write about where they are?

Examples:

ボールペン　は　どこ　に　あります　か。Where is the ballpoint pen?

つくえ　の　上　に　あります。It’s on top of the desk

犬（いぬ）は　どこ　に　います　か。Where is the dog?

いす　の　下　に　います。He/she/it is under the chair.

宿題　しゅくだい　　　Homework　

A.  Write the answers like the ones above for the locations of the following objects.  

    どこ？

でも、高校　に　行かない。During the time of social distancing, I will exercise.  However, I will not go to the high school.

A.   Read the following 日本語　の  sentences and 　英語で　書いて　下さい。Please notice the plain present verb forms.　　There are 漢字 from the Chapter 10 漢字シート (and other kanji sheets) in these sentences.

1.     ソーシャルディスタンス　の　時　私　は　友達　に　電話　wを　かける。

2.     でも、ソーシャルディスタンス　の　時　私　は　日本人　の　お兄さん（おにいさん）　に　会わない。

3.     朝ごはん　や　昼ごはん　や　晩ごはん　の　好きな　食べ物　を　作る。

4.     でも　有名な（ゆうめいな）レストラン　で　食事（しょくｋじ）しない。

5.     私　は　うち　の　元気な　犬　と　あそぶ。
