A. ゴジラの夏休み（なつやすみ）――　かれ（He）は何ができましたか。何をしたことがありますか。分かりますか。英語で書いて下さい。

一．    ゴジラはたいへん大きいですので、じてんしゃにのったことはありません。Godzilla is terriby big, so he has not had the experience of riding on a bicycle.

二．    ゴジラは鯨（くじらWhale）に会ったことがあって、友達になりました。Godzilla had the experience of meeting a whale and they became friends.

三．    おさけがきらいですので、ゴジラはビールを飲んだことはありません。(He) dislikes alcohol, so Godzilla hasn’t had the experience of drinking beer.

四．    日本の音楽が好きなゴジラは宇多田ヒカル（うただ・ひかる）の歌を聞いたことがあります。「すごい！」と言いました。 Godzilla, who likes Japanese music, had the experience of hearing Utada Hikaru’s songs.   “Great,” he said.

五．    ゴジラはうみの下で寝て、夢（ゆめDream）を見たことがあります。 Godzilla slept at the bottom of the sea and had the experience of having/seeing a dream.

B. The radical system – The Compact Nelson’s Japanese-English Character Dictionary （Classroom set）――　Kanji are categorized by certain parts called radicals, some of which are adaptations of kanji that exist by themselves  -- They are arranged by number of strokes.  Here are some kanji that also appear as radicals.  Let’s find out what they’re called, look up kanji that include them, and write them here.   (Postpone until tomorrow.)
