な　Adjectives：Use な before the noun, but don't use it beforeです。

たいへんな　本　を　読みました。　　I read a terrible book.






本　は　たいへん　です。　　The book is terrible.



Direct object:


The subject, performs the verb action of the sentence.  The direct object receives the action of the verb.

Example in English:

"The thief killed the horse. "       The thief is the subject.
                                                  The horse is the direct object.

The subject is the "perp."
The direct object is the "victim."
