Nakama Chapter 9 – The Inu Cousins Go on an Outing

六月六日　に　ゆうえんち　の　まつり　が　ありました。

犬　大きい　さん　は　犬　ながい　さん　に　電話　を　かけました。

大きい　さん　と　ながい　さん　は　いとこ　でした。（いとこCousin）

大きい　さん　の　いもうとさん　と　ながい　さん　の　お兄さん　もいとこ　でした、もちろん（Of course）.

大きい　さん　と　ながい　さん　は　まつり　の　こと（About）　と　話して　いました。

大きい　さん　は「どこか　に　行きましょう。まつり　に　行きません　か。」と　言いました。（Said）

ながい　さん　は　「友達　に　会い　に　行きましょう。」って

犬さん、いとこ、四ひき　で、ゆうえんち　の　まつり　に　行きました。

ご後　九時　に　出かけました。

何で　行きました　か。　バス　と　電車　で　行きました。

ゆうえんち　で　何　を　しました　か。

何か　食べて　飲みました、ね。

一番　おいしい　食べもの　は　たこやき　でした。

 

Grammar Point on board -- ”And" in Japanese

①　Beginning of sentence --　そして　（Don't confuse with　それから、After that)

②　Between　めいし　－－と　（Closed series) or　や　（Open series)

③　Between どうし　ーー　Use　て　フォーム　Of Verb

　　　れい　Examples:

　　　行って来ます　｛I} go and come back.

　　　学生　は　はいく　を　読んで　書きます。The student reads and writes haiku.

　　　友達　は　はやく　起きて　おそく　寝ます。（My） friend gets up early and goes to bed late.

 

Practice sentences to translate into Japanese --

There are books and pencils in the classroom.

　　きょうしつ　に　本　や　えんぴつ　が　あります。

And there are 12 students, also.

　　そして　学生　も　十二人　います。

The big brother gets on the bus and goes to the high school.

　　お兄さん　は　バス　に　のって　高校　に　行きます。
