A. Write/type 3 statements about something you did during 春休み（はるやすみ）spring break, where you did it, and how it was.　　　ワームアップ

Examples: 

はるやすみ　に　私　は　シカゴ　に　行きました。

Write/type each of the celebrations and religions, above, twice in Japanese, once in English.    二X日本語で、一X英語で書きます。

 

C.                       Game:  “Shiritori” – the last hiragana of a word is the first hiragana of the next word.  All hiragana are OK, but if you use a word that ends in  ん , you lose because a word cannot begin with   ん  . Here’s how it works

いす、すごい、いま、まき、きもの、のり、りっぱな、なまえ

Now you try it.  Try for a series of 8, like the series above. Try to use as much Chapter 8 vocabulary as possible.

 

D.                       Telling someone to do something, politely.  You use ください with a special form of the verb called the　

「て　フォーム 」“te form.” 

All verbs in this form end in て   or   で。

Examples：　

ジュース　を　飲んで　ください。Drink the juice, please.

宿題　を　して　ください。Do the homework, please.

やさい　を　食べて　ください。Eat vegetables, please.
