Choose a light colored piece of paper, fold it in half, and write a get-well card to Masako-san, as follows.


On the front of the card:  まさこ さん へ

Inside the card:
お大事 に (おだいじ に)”Take care of yourself.”
早く 元気 に なって ね (はやく げんき に なって ね) “Get well quickly, OK?”

Your name in katakana より


Write in large characters in both Japanese and English.  Add color in some way, and appropriate cheerful images, if you like drawing.

お雛祭りO-Hina-matsuri Assignment 三月三日 “Girls’ Day”

Look up each of the poets below (poets whose figures grace the splendid doll shelf at the Japanese American Service Committee in Chicago).
On a separate piece of paper, write 3 or 4 sentences about each poet, including dates, etc.  Then find at least one poem by that poet (English is OK), and write it, as well.
