Explaining your purpose in doing something – （Nakama  293 ページ）

The structure is: 

Verb-stem (take off the masu) + ni + traveling verb（行く、来る、etc）

食べます、食べ　　　書きます、書き　　　作ります、作り　　　見ます、見

“Tomorrow I will go to the department store.”  　　　　　“Oh, why?”

“I will go (in order) to buy a sweater.”   

「あした　デパート　に　行きます。」　　「そうですか。どうして？」

「セーター　を　買い　に　行きます。」

下の日本語は英語で何？

すぐ　私　ヴァレンタイン・カード　を　書き　に　帰る（かえる）。

新しい　新聞（しんぶん）　を　読み　に　としょかん　に　行く。

ハンサムな　友達　は　音楽　を　聞き　に　　に　出かける。

日本りょうり（和食   わしょく）を　作り　に　うち　に　行く。

A.   下さい　　　ください　　Means "please-give" in itself

B.    Four uses of the te form:    

　　　Verb て　下さい　　　              Please do (it)

　　　Verb て　います　　　              Is/am/are doing (continuative)

　　　Verb　て　も　いい　です　か。Asking permission

　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　   ”Is it OK to .......?"

　　　Verb て　Second verb　                       Verb and verb (And between verbs)

　　　　　　                                                          Example:　

レストラン　で　飲んで食べました。

　　　　　　　　　　                                         At the restaurant I drank and ate.

C.　Verbs for wearing things:

　　　　きます、きる　　　                Above the waist 着ます

(don’t confuse with 来ます、来る )

　　　　はきます、はく　　                Below the waist

　　　　かぶる、かぶります　           On the head, for hats

　　　　かける、かけます　                Glasses　めがね

　　　　する、します　　                    Accessories like ties, belts, jewelry

D.　Above and below kanji
