Nakama Ch. 8 and 9 はる(Spring) か (Or) ヴァレンタインの俳句(はいく)を書く。
Some directions for writing haiku:
1st line, 5 syllables 2nd line, 7 syllable 3rd line, 5 syllables
Include a seasonal reference:
in February those might be (in Japan) plum blossoms (うめ の はな), melting snow (雪 ゆき), early spring (春 はる), south wind (みなみ かぜ), ice vanishing, Valentine’s Day, (心 heart),(愛 あい)deep love,(恋 こ い)
more earthly love.
On the back of this page, try to write 2 haiku appropriate
to the season. You may write both in
English, both in Japanese, or one in each language. In Japanese, avoid relational particles and desu. The Japanese version and English version
don’t have to be translations of each other. In English, avoid the, a, very,
lots, etc.
Decorate with appropriate
images in color, if you can.
Example (byキメル先生 , not necessarily
good in either language):
Ice has disappeared
こおり ない
Old plum trees begin to bloom うめ の はな さく
All because of love 恋 の ため
