Students began the class with a comprehensive test on Lesson 7.

Then they did the warm-up in the handout below:

They were also requested to write the following additional words in Japanese
1. to turn in/take out

After that the students read an article about Naomi Osaka from the Japan Times, "New Star Naomi Osaka Arrives in Tokyo to Hero's Welcome."  The assignment was to write down 4 things in the article that were unexpected or surprising (in English).

Do worksheet reviewing kanji for chapter 8 of Nakama.  A handout for those exact kanji was given to the students as well.
