  1. Store clerk:  Welcome, and how may I help you.
  2. Customer:  Hello.  Is this place the stationery department?
  3. Store clerk: Yes, that is so.
  4. Customer: Do you have (are there) pens, pencils, and erasers.
      
  5. Store clerk: Yes, we have (there are).
  6. Customer: Please show me pencils and erasers.
  7. Store clerk:  How many pencils?
  8. Customer: Please show me 3 pens.
  9. Store clerk:  What color?
  10. Customer: Blue pens, please.
  11. Store clerk: Do you like big pens?
  12. Customer: No, I like small pens.
      
  13. Store clerk:  I understand.  Please wait a moment. [pause]   Here, please take them.
  14. Customer:  How much are they?
  15. Store Clerk:  One pen is 4,000 yen. Three pens are 12,000 yen.
  16. Customer: Expensive, aren’t they?  However, the pens are good-looking/nice.  Here are 15,000 yen.
      
  17. Store Clerk:  Thank you.  Here are 3,000 yen.  Shall I wrap them?
