Note about the placement of numbers/counters in 日本語 sentences (quite different from number placement in えい語).
①　The number goes between the relational particle and the verb
　　ex.:　私　は　本　を　三さつ　買って　います。I am buying 3 (volumes) books.
②    The number precedes the noun, but the relational particle   goes between the number and the noun
　　ex.:   先生　は　二まい　の　かみ　を　出しました。Teacher issues 2 (pieces of) paper.
     
Class was divided into two groups, named for the speakers in the dialogue below, Taguchi 田口and Mori森.　キメル先生 read the lines and then each group repeated its own lines.  Students asked しつもん about meanings of individual sentences and vocabulary words.

   Nakama Ch. 8:  continuative/progressive verb practice dialogue

田口:      それ   は   あたらしい  しんぶん   です    か。

森:        はい、 あたらしい  です。   読んで   います   よ。

田口:      そう  です  か。  私　は　きれいな　おんがく　を　聞いて　います。

森:         アリシャ   キーズ  の  シーディー  です  か。

田口:       はい。  大すき  です。

森:         かして[lend]  ください。

田口:       どうぞ。 しんぶん  を  かして  ください、 ね。

森:         どうぞ。 この　しんぶん　は　おもしろく　ない　です。

田口:        私  は   しんぶん  の  しゃしん   が   すき です。見て

　　　　　　ください。高校  の  学生  の  しゃしん  です。

森:         学生 は 何 を して  います  か。

田口:      バス   で  高校  に  来て  います。  そして  校てい

      　　　[schoolyard] で    サッカー   を  して  います。 サッカー

　　　　　　の   せんしゅ[athlete]   は  あし  が  ながい  です。

森:        その  目　が　あおい　学生  は  話して います   か。

           口   が  大きい  です。  おかしい  学生  です   ね。

田口:      いいえ、 その　学生   は  うたって  います。  おんがく  が   

           じょうずな  がくせい  です。

森:       ごご  八時  に  コンサート   に  行きます  か。ともだち　は

　　　　　『アリシャ   キーズ  は  うたいます』って。[said] 

田口:      ええ、アリシャ   キーズ が すき　です。  電車   で  行きます   か？

森:        はい、 電車   で   いきます。  コンサート   で   会います　か。

田口:      はい。コンサート　の　ちかく　に　デパート　が　あります。

      　　コンサート　の　あと [after]　で　高島屋　デパート　で　

　　　　　　　買いもの　します。
