A.ワームアップ

 

1.     Write each どうしverb with its kanji (Note the cues to the elements of each kanji)

いきました(Crossroads)

きました(Come to Rice Country at least Once)

かえりました (Yo, Return-home to Wash the Napkins)

よみました (The Samurai sits at his desk and Says he’s Reading)

はなしました (You have to Say things with your Tongue in order to Speak a language)

2.     Write each けいようし、１Xえい語で

おもしろい　　　　やさしい　　　いそがしい　　　むずかしい

 

たのしい　　　　　ひま　　　　　たいへん　　　　りっぱ

 

B. Sample日記（にっき） one day’s diary entry below読みます。

きのう　かえる（Frog）　は　あひる　の　としょかん　に　

行きました。

本　と　しん聞（ぶん）　を　読ました。

ざっし　も　見ました　が　ざっし　は　おもしろく　ありませんでした　から　よみませんでした。　Yesterday the frog went to the duck’s library. She read books and newspapers.  She looked at magazines also, but the magazines weren’t interesting, so/therefore she didn’t read them.

 

Now that you’ve seen how’s done, write your own diary entry, specifying 1) when you went somewhere, 2) what you did there, 3) how it was (past tense adjective) and therefore 4) why you didn’t do something else

C. (From last class)  Read the following sentence pairs.　えい語　で　かきます。  We can go over these if you need help

きのう　私　は　レストラン　に　行きました。おいしかった　です。

 

４時　に　先生　は　本　を　読みました。たのしかった　です。

 

ともだち　は　スペイン語　を　話しました。むずかしかった　です。
