Journal Project -- Nakama Chapter 6

 

Nakama Chapter 6 –  Project --  Journal of a week

You will need to write a brief (at least 3 sentences) journal entry for each day of the week, Monday through Sunday.  It will be due on Tuesday 火曜日、November　１１月、１７日。Start each sentence on a new line and include the English translation.  You must include at least 2 appropriate illustrations, either from the Internet or from something you’ve drawn by hand (I know a number of you are very talented at art).

You will write about where you went (traveling verb),

what you did when you got there (active verb),

and how it was (past-tense adjective).

You will need to use either から (therefore) or が  (but) at least once for each day.

Example:

月曜日　の　４時　に　私　は　帰りました。On Monday at 4 o’clock, I returned-home.

ドーナツ　を　見ました　が　きれい　じゃ　ありませんでした。　I looked at the doughnuts, but they weren’t pretty/clean.

クッキー　は　りっぱ　でした　から　チョコレート　の　クッキー　を　たべました。The cookies were splendid/wonderful, therefore I ate the chocolate cookies.

 

Sentence order /structures (The verb comes LAST)：

Time（に）Subject/topic　は　Destination　に　Traveling verb.

Time（に）Subject/topic　は　（Direct object を）Active verb.

Location（に）Subject　が　Existence verb.

 

Traveling verbs:  行きました（いきました）、来ました（きました）、帰りました（かえりました）

Active verbs: たべました、のみました、見ました（みました）、聞きました（ききました）、読みました（よみました）、かきました、べんきょう　しました、買いました（かいました）、おきました、ねました、（シャワー）　を　あびました、そうじ　を　しました、せんたく　を　しました、うんどう　を　しました、話しました（はなしました）、買いもの　を　しました、つくりました

Existence verbs：　ありました、いました
