Verb tenses

“Connectors”

ワームアップ

Write the verbs きます、はきます、かぶります　in each of these forms

Wears habitually or will wear       きます、はきます、かぶります

Let’s wear　　きましょう、はきましょう、かぶりましょう

Wore yesterday　　きました、はきました、かぶりました

Is/am/are wearing　きて　います、はいて　います、

　　　　　　　　　かぶって　います

Is/am/are NOT wearing　　きて　いません、　はいて　いません、

　　　　　　　　　　　　　かぶって　いません

 

A. Connectors – and, but　　―　　Write one Japanese sentence using each connector.

But （between complete clauses）            が

私のセーターは黄色い　です　か　一番　すきな　色　は　青い　です。

 My sweater is yellow, BUT　my favorite color is blue

And  （between nouns）　　　　　　と、や

ちち　と　はは　は　五十さい　です。Father AND Mother are 50 years old.

すきな　食べもの　は　ステーキ　や　うどん　や　サラダ　です。

The foods that I like are steak AND udon AND salad (etc.).

And betweenいadjectives　　　　  くて

あの　デパート　の　ジーンズ　は　黒くて　白くて　グレー色　です。

That department store's jeans are black AND white AND gray color.

 

And between  な adjectives  　　　　で

車　は　ゆうめい　で　きれい　です。The car is famous and pretty/clean.

 

And between verbs　　　　　　　　て　フォーム

私　は　食べて、飲んで、こうえん　に　行きます。

I will eat AND drink AND go to the park.

 

て　フォームof です　　　　　　　で　　

先生　　の　犬　の　なまえ　は　ジジ　で　白い　です。

Sensei's dog's name is Jiji, AND it is white.
