Stem of verb with traveling verb to indicate purpose

The stem of the verb is the part of the verb left after you take off the ます（regardless of group）。Write the stem of each of the following verbs.            たとえば：　あるきます　　　あるき

あそびます　　　　およぎます　　　食べます　　　飲みます

 

起きます　　　　　ねます　　　　　来ます　　　　します

 

書きます　　　　　よびます　　　　あいます　　　勉強します

 

A.  Using the verb-stem with a traveling verb (行く、来る、帰る、etc.)  in order to indicate your purpose in going to a destination.

In other words, why did you go there?

たとえば：　新聞を読みにとしょかん　に　行きました。

I went to the library （in order） to read the newspaper.

下の文書（ぶんしょ）を英語で書いて下さい。

おすし　を　食べ　に　日本りょうり　の　レストラン

に　行きました。

 

宿題　を　し　に　かえりました。
