Looking at pages 308-310 and the dictionary in Nakama, try to figure out what the following words in a telephone conversation mean.  Then write them 3 times in Japanese and once in English.

三　Ｘ　日本語　で、一　Ｘ　英語　で

もしもし              おたく

Hello on the phone    　　　The （honorable） residence　of someone else

もうします          いらっしゃいます（か）

Says、Is called (humbly)　　　　Exists (in this context)

In class, students spoke the number for Pi

三　てん　一　四　一　五　九　二　六　五　三　五　八　九　七　九　三　二　　Etc., etc。

Class went over expressions in warm-up.

Students wrote and spoke original sentences in the following form:

Verbs to be used:

①　出かけます（でかけます）To go out 

　　　　　　　　　　　　(not stay home)

②　来ます（きます）Comes

③　行きます（いきます）Goes

④　帰ります（かえります）Returns home

Some examples:

一。オーストラリア　に　カンガルー　を　見　に　行きます。I will go to Australia to see kangaroos.

二。マットくん　は　映画　を　見　に　行きます。Matt will go see a movie.

三。マイルズくん　は　ごりょうしん　と　話し　に　帰ります。Miles will go home to talk with his parents.

四。エメットくん　は　メキシコ　りょうり　を　食べ　に　行きます。Emmett will go eat Mexican food/cooking/dishes.

五．アシャさん　は　おちゃ　を　飲み　に　出かけます。Asha will go out to drink green tea.

六。マハルさん　は　いぬ　と　さんぽ　し　に　来ます。Mahal will come to take a walk with the dog.

七。セリナさん　は　さくぶん　を　書き　に　帰ります。

Serena will return home to write a paper/essay.
