In accordance with Illinois State Standards for Foreign Languages, a documentary about the internment of Japanese Americans:
”Citizen Tanouye"Winner of the Chris Award" at the 2005 Columbus International Film and Video Festival
Group of students at Torrence High School in Torrence, California, does research into the life of Ted Tanoyou, Torrence High class of 1938, awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his 1942 military service during World War II.He received the award posthumously and his brother accepted the medal for him in the year 2000.  He has been a member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, company K, an all Japanese-American combat unit.
