D.Group 2 Verbs (also called る  verbs), the second largest group.  What are they like?  They are easier to conjugate than Group 1 or Group 3. They have no extra “i” syllable before the “masu” in the neutral-polite form.  All dictionary/plain affirmative forms end in “ru.”  Some are sneaky and look like Group 1 verbs, but are actually in Group 2, so you have to remember which ones those are.  Here are some important Group 2 verbs.
