While doing the warm-up, some students had trouble understanding the questions:  "At the time of Thanksgiving, what do you like to eat?  At the time of Thanksgiving, what do you like to drink?"

When you talk about liking to do something, you use the dictionary form plus no, and then add suki desu.

Examples:
本　を　読む　の　が　すき　です。I like to read books.
かんじ　を　書く　の　が　すき　です。I like to write kanji.
こうこう　に　行く　の　が　すき　です。I like to go to high school.
うち　に　帰る　の　が　すき　です。I like to return-home to (my) house.


After the warm-up, the class looked at the verb conjugation handout and practiced changing masu verbs into their dictionary forms.　　Many were not able to finish, so Sensei put off collecting it until tomorrow.
