Go to the
“Start” button
Go to
“Control Panel”
Go to
“Clock, Language, and Region”
Go to
“Region and Language”
Go to
“Keyboards and Languages”
Go to
“Change Keyboards”
Go to “Add”
and add Japanese, keyboard, IME
Click on OK
“EN” icon
will appear in lower right hand corner of screen
Click on it
and click on “Show Language Bar”
Language bar
will then show on upper right corner of screen
Click on
Japanese
Then choose “Input
Mode,” and you should choose “hiragana”
when you want to type in Japanese.
Leave a
space between Japanese words and before and after relational particles.
Click enter,
if you want the hiragana word as-is.
If you want
a kanji to appear, click the space
bar and choose the correct kanji from
among the kanji offered.
Type the Godzilla-Hello Kitty
story below using Japanese word processing through Word’s
Japanese keyboard, Microsoft IME。
Big Godzilla and small Hello Kitty were
friends. 大きい ゴジラ と 小さい ハローキティー は ともだち でした。
On
Friday Godzilla did the laundry and the cleaning. 金曜日 に ゴジラ は せんたく と そうじ を しました。
After that Hello Kitty came to Godzilla's
house. それから ハローキティー は ゴジラ の うち に きました。
Hello
Kitty and Godzilla played tennis, but Kitty didn’t like tennis (and) therefore
they listened to the radio. ハロキティー と ゴジラ は テニス を しました が ハロキティー は テニス が すき じゃ ありませんでした から ラジオ を ききました。
The Italian restaurant was delicious so
(therefore) they went to the cute Italian restaurant.
イタリア の レストラン は おいしかった です から かわいい イタリア の レストラン に いきました。
They ate pizza at the restaurant, but they
didn’t drink coffee. ピザ を たべました が コーヒー を のみませんでした。
Hello Kitty drank orange juice. ハローキティー は オレンジ･ジュース を のみました。
Godzilla drank Sprite. （スプライト） ゴジラ は スプライト を のみました。
After that, Hello Kitty and Godzilla went
to the mall. （モール） それから ハローキティー と ゴジラ は モール に いきました。
Kitty did panda shopping. ハローキティー は パンダ の かいもの を しました。
Godzilla did balloon （ふうせん） shopping.
There was a movie theater in the mall. モール の 中 に えいがかん が ありました。
(They) saw “My Neighbor Totoro.” 「となり の トトロ」 を みました。
After that (they) returned to Godzilla's
house.
それから ゴジラ の うち に かえりました。
They studied at Godzilla's house. ゴジラ の うち で べんきょう｛を｝ しました。
The homework was difficult. しゅくだい は むずかしかった です。
However, Godzilla and Hello Kitty were good
students. でも ゴジラ と ハローキティー は いい がくせい でした。
